Dividing snowdrops while they are ‘in the green’ – just after flowering – is a great way to increase your plants and to create your own wonderful, dreamy drifts
Using a garden fork or trowel, carefully lift the clumps of snowdrops from the ground, taking care not to damage the bulbs or roots. Gently shake off any excess soil to reveal the individual bulbs.
Gently prise them apart with your hands into a few small clumps with the soil intact. Make some holes where you want more snowdrops and put the clumps in.
Water them in well.
