We are looking for a Shop Manager to join our team ,taking responsibility for running and continuously improving the inside areas of our business including Garden Furniture, Gifting, Gardening, Food, Christmas & Landscaping.

Are you self-motivated to achieve high standards and able to work on your own initiative with attention to detail in all aspects of the job? Are you outgoing and friendly with excellent communication skills?

Working with our centre manager and helping to develop our team, strive to cater for every gardening requirement and pride themselves on their customer service and ability to make a visit to the centre a pleasurable experience.

As Shop Manager, you will deliver an exceptional service to customers, ensuring the centre is presented to a high standard and the shop team are set to deliver.

This position would suit those who have already gained some experience in garden centre retailing with product knowledge.

You will be enthusiastic and keen to deliver high standards ,will have a flexible and adaptable approach.

A passion for people and all things garden centre.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

Working with the Centre Manager to ensure the smooth running of the department.

Good housekeeping standards across the department with accurate stock control

Delivering excellent customer sales and service

Working proactively, enthusiastically and with drive to succeed.

Ordering stock from suppliers, managing product margins and promotions.

Pricing, displaying, and merchandising of product to the required standards.

Develop, motivate, and lead the team as well as monitoring their performance and ongoing training.

Available to work alternate weekends.

Supports with the operations of the centre acting as a duty manager. Opening or locking the store as required. Dealing with health & safety or maintenance issues as they occur and escalating as necessary. Completing required health & safety checklists to ensure the best customer experience. Cash Management to ensure continued trading.
